The Twins got shelled again last night, losing 1-10. Boof Bonser pitched 4 and 1/3 innings, doing decent enough until the 5th, when Johnny Damon hit a 3-run homer and Jesse Crain had a run score on him that was charged to Boof. Dennys Reyes pitched an inning and gave up 4 hits, 3 runs, 2 strikeouts and 1 walk. His ERA this season is back up to 15.00 (this is after it went down from 18.00 to 9.00).

The offense had bad “situational hitting” as Dick kept saying. They had runners on first and second with nobody out twice, and Michael Cuddyer had a leadoff double but as you can see, they ruined a lot of potential from those opportunities.

The Twins are now 4-3, just like the Yanks. Ramon Ortiz pitches tonight against Mike Mussina. Let’s hope we can salvage at least one game out of the series.
