Alright it was a big night offensively for the Twins, and I don’t have much time so I’m just going to rifle through the stats.

Jason Tyner was 3-for-5 with 2 runs scored and an RBI, continuing to produce in the 2nd spot. Nick Punto‘s MRI was negative and he’s listed as day-to-day.

Joe Mauer had his biggest night of the year going 3-for-4 with 3 RBI and 2 runs scored. All of his hits were doubles.

Torii Hunter was 2-for-4 with 4 RBI, all coming off of his grand slam in the 5th inning. It was his second homer of the year. He also hit a double. He left the game in the 7th after apparently rolling on the ball. I believe the injury is listed as a bruised shoulder and he’s also listed as day-to-day.

Jason Kubel and Jason Bartlett both added a double and Bartlett scored 2 runs.

Ramon Ortiz was able to get through 7 innings after giving up a first pitch homer to Ichiro. Ortiz allowed 8 hits and 2 runs but walked nobody and struck out nobody. He threw 92 pitches but only 58 of them were strike. It seems like he should’ve had worse numbers, but I know Luis Rodriguez played a good, defensive 3B last night.

Tonight the match up is Carlos Silva against phenom Felix Hernandez. Felix hasn’t allowed a run all year in 2 starts totaling 17 innings. Silva’s ERA is miniscule compared to Johan Santana‘s, so it should be a pitcher’s duel. It starts at 9:10 again, so most of us probably won’t watch the whole game through.
