Sidney Ponson can’t be blamed for the loss. He allowed 4 runs through 6 innings, but costly blunders made the Twins lose their 4th straight game.

Whether it was Michael Cuddyer hitting into a double play with the bases loaded, followed by Justin Morneau grounding out or Cuddyer striking out with runners on first and second followed by Alexi Casilla getting picked off of second..

Torii Hunter hit a solo homer in the 2nd and finished 2-for-4 with an RBI and 2 runs scored..

Ponson gave up two 2-run homers, a total of 7 hits, 2 walks and 2 strikeouts. He threw 100 pitches through 6 innings while KC’s pitcher threw 79 through the same amount..

The circus that is Rondell White continues: while fielding pop flies yesterday before batting practice, he reinjured his right calf muscle. He’s out for another week, maybe more..

It’s still questionable when Luis Castillo will return..

Apparently Jason Bartlett is playing with a sore groin muscle and it bothers him each time he fields a ground ball. Problem is, the only guy we have to replace him is Luis Rodriguez, and that would leave Josh Rabe, Jason Tyner and Mike Redmond on the bench for us, and I’m sure that would make Gardenhire uneasy.

Also, the game for today starts at noon and isn’t on TV, so tune your dials to 1500 AM.
