Justin Morneau started the scoring in the second with a solo homer, his 7th of the year, and ended the scoring in the 10th with a 3-run homer, his 8th of the year.

Boof Bonser pitched 7 innings and struck out 7. A throwing error by himself gave him 3 unearned runs, for a total of 4 given up. He also walked one and gave up his dreaded homer, a solo one just minutes after Morneau got him the lead. He’s still winless on the season, despite having a really good-considering-how-many-homers-he’s-given-up ERA of 3.96.

The White Sox scored 3 in the 6th but the Twins weren’t out of it in the bottom of the 8th when two singles, a double, a ground out, and another single scored 3 of our own.

Luis Castillo led of the bottom of the 10th with a double, and Jason Kubel failed two or three times to get a bunt down and ended up striking out. The pitcher intentionally walked Torii Hunter to set up a double play with just the one out. Lucky for us, Michael Cuddyer only popped up to first instead of hitting into that DP, as Morneau came up and was patient and smacked a hanging curve into the upper deck in right.
