I didn’t watch the game and I don’t have much time, so all I have for you is numbers. Francisco Liriano pitched 4 and 2/3 innings, giving up 6 hits and 4 runs. He walked 5 and struck out 4 and finished with 90 pitches. Brian Bass came in for 2 and 1/3 innings of hitless relief, a very encouraging sign that he may have settled down and his Major League jitters are gone for good.

The lineup managed 3 measly hits against Brian Bannister (who?), one from Jason Kubel, Justin Morneau, and Adam Everett. Mike Lamb was the only Twin to draw a walk.

The team travels to Detroit and play the Tigers for the first time this season. A pre-season World Series favorite, the Tigers are 2-10 thus far and are definitely struggling. Let’s hope that they don’t come alive and play to their potential against the Twins. The game starts at 6:10 with Nick Blackburn taking the mound for us.
