Kevin Slowey rebounded from his last start very nicely, allowing just 2 runs on 5 hits through 8 innings. The two runs came on sacrifice flies, too. He didn’t walk anybody and struck out 5. He helped his own cause by getting two hits, including a double, for 2 RBI. Milwaukee intentionally walked Mike Lamb to load the bases and Slowey hit a single to score two.

Justin Morneau had 3 RBI, as did Alexi Casilla.

Carlos Gomez had an outfield assist of a runner at third base and he also scored two runs.

Jason Kubel hit his 9th homer of the year, a solo shot, and also scored twice.

Delmon Young replaced Michael Cuddyer after Cuddy was hit in the hand with a pitch and gathered three hits, including an RBI. Cuddyer is listed as day-to-day with a bruised hand.

I apologize for the short post but a busy day yesterday followed by the ever-important ACT test this morning at roughly 8 AM left me strapped for time.

Glen Perkins pitches tonight in a game that starts at 6:05.
